There’s something special about mornings at Mansfield House.
I slip on my coziest sweater and make my way into the kitchen before anyone else is up. The coffee’s brewing. The pan is warming. And before long, the sweet scent of pancakes (topped with Vermont’s finest maple syrup, of course) fills the air – usually just the trick to wake the crew.
That’s how I like to start the day here in my residence that is part of The Davenport Collection. In minutes, we’re catching first chair, with fresh tracks calling our names. Nothing makes me happier than taking the little ones out for early morning runs, watching their confidence grow with every turn.
And when the sun dips behind the peaks?
That’s when I play host.
The neighbors pop in – sometimes with a bottle of bubbles, sometimes with a batch of freshly baked cookies from the café, sometimes with just a good story. It’s perfect. The kids claim the bonus room, diving into games and giggles, while we grown-ups gather in the living room, swapping tales, sharing laughs, and reliving the day’s best turns (and tumbles).
